Pugh to Host Community E-Recycling Event Sept. 6
September 2, 2025
LUZERNE – Residents looking to get rid of their old and unwanted electronics are encouraged to join Rep. Brenda Pugh (R-Luzerne) at her e-Recycling event on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at West Side Career and Technology Center, 75 Evans St., in Pringle.
“Electronics are sometimes difficult to dispose of, so I am hosting this event to help residents properly get rid of their old items,” Pugh said. “I hope you come out and take advantage of this opportunity to get rid of your old electronics in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.”
The event is hosted in partnership with a third-party recycling company, Mamoth. Most of the items can be recycled free of charge; however, there are some items that will have a cost.
Some of free items include computers (laptops and desktop), smartphones, tablets, printers, office phones, video game consoles, modems, routers, cameras, DVD players, VCRs, audio/video equipment, wires and chargers, hard drives, memory cards, power tools and appliances.
Other items, such as LCD monitors, window air conditioners, televisions and floor copiers can be disposed of for a nominal fee.
Residents are encouraged to call Rep. Pugh’s office at 570-283-1001 with additional questions on eligible items and pricing.
