Pugh to Host ‘The Invisible Threat: Drug and Alcohol Awareness’

LUZERNE – To help educate parents and grandparents on the warning signs of drug and alcohol abuse, Rep. Brenda Pugh (R-Luzerne) is inviting residents to attend her event, “The Invisible Threat: Drug and Alcohol Awareness.”
“Addiction hides in plain sight, but the path to recovery exists,” Pugh said. “I invite everyone to come and hear from experts, and those impacted by addiction, to recognize the signs of substance abuse disorder and the services available for a brighter future.”
The event will take place Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Wyoming Area Secondary School, 252 Memorial St., Exeter. Guest speakers joining Pugh include Michael Galgiardi, Drug and Alcohol administrator for Luzerne and Wyoming counties, and Tony Ross, first assistant district attorney for Luzerne County.

The 120th Legislative District includes Courtdale, Exeter, Forty Fort, Kingston, Luzerne, Pringle, Swoyersville, West Wyoming and Wyoming boroughs, as well as Dallas, Exeter, Franklin, Jackson and Kingston townships in Luzerne County.
